The year 2013 has just begun. You should already have your content marketing plan laid down. Perhaps the first thing you should do is review the things you spent good money on in 2012. Identify the activities that didn’t really provide a good return on investment and then remove them from your list of marketing strategies. Make sure the group understands what problem you wish to solve with content marketing right at the outset and a member of the group should be assigned to take note of every idea the group considers relevant. Encourage your team to take breaks every hour or two so they can unwind and give their brains a chance to reset. The best ideas often come when you’re feeling fresh and energized.
Of course, even the best ideas won’t do you any good unless your content marketing strategy is properly organized. You have to make sure that you’re able to make the most of your content by covering all of the major distribution channels. You should also set up a plan of action on how you can get your content noticed and optimized for searches. Perhaps the best thing about good content is that there are so many things you can do to make it work for your business even when the budget is tight.
